This Privacy Policy explains how MicroFlix Studios ("we," "us") handles information in connection with our website, microflixstudios.com, and our TikTok dashboard application, MicroFlix Studio Desk (the "App").
1. Who uses the App
The App is an internal, read-only dashboard used only by MicroFlix Studios to view statistics and public videos for the MicroFlix Studios TikTok account. It is not offered to the public and does not access other TikTok users' accounts.
2. Information we access through TikTok
When the MicroFlix Studios account authorizes the App through TikTok Login Kit, TikTok provides us with:
- An access token and refresh token, used to read that account's data with the permissions granted.
- Basic profile information for the authorizing account (such as its open ID, display name and avatar), used to confirm the correct account is connected.
- Account statistics (follower, following, like and video counts).
- The account's own public videos and their view, like, comment and share counts.
We only request read-only permissions. The App does not post, edit or delete anything on TikTok.
3. How we use it
We use this information solely to authenticate the MicroFlix Studios account and display its statistics and video performance to MicroFlix Studios. We do not use it for advertising, profiling, or any other purpose.
4. Viewers and website visitors
The App does not collect information about individual people who watch or comment on our videos; it shows only aggregate counts. Our website does not use advertising trackers or require an account. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability.
5. Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties, except as needed to operate the App through TikTok's platform or where required by law.
6. Storage and security
Access tokens are stored securely on our servers and are never published or shared. We take reasonable measures to protect them from unauthorized access.
7. Retention and deletion
We keep tokens only while the App is connected. Access can be revoked at any time from TikTok's settings (Settings and privacy → Security → Manage app permissions), after which the tokens stop working and we delete them. You may also contact us to request deletion of any information we hold.
8. Children
Our App and website are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
9. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above shows when it was last revised.
